Do the apps really work offline?
Yes. Every tool, calculator, reference and record works with no internet connection and no account, and your work is saved locally on your device. The only online features are the optional industry news feeds in the iPhone and iPad apps.
What does each app cost?
EDH CPD is completely free. EDH Pocket is £4.99 per user / month or £49.99 per user / year after a 14-day free trial, rising to £9.99 / month and £79.99 / year for new subscribers when launch pricing ends on 1 October 2026. The desktop hub is £9.99 per user / month or £99.99 per user / year after a 14-day trial, rising to £19.99 / month and £149.99 / year on the same date. Subscribe at the launch price and you keep it for as long as you stay subscribed. Everything is billed and cancellable through the App Store.
Which platforms are they on?
The EDH family is built natively and exclusively for Apple platforms, and we believe it's the most comprehensive engineering toolkit you'll find there. The desktop hub is out now for macOS on the Mac App Store, and EDH Pocket and EDH CPD are on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. Going deep on one platform is what lets everything run fast, offline and on-device, with AI powered by Apple Intelligence.
Is EDH CPD really 100% free?
Yes, genuinely. Every chapter, quiz, certificate and AI tool is included, with no subscriptions, no unlock purchases and no ads. It's our way of giving something useful to the profession.
Does EDH Pocket sync with the desktop hub?
They're deliberately independent, because neither app uses a cloud or an account. Pocket runs the same tool engine as the desktop, so your checks behave identically, and project records can be moved between devices with a simple one-file export and import.
Is my project data private?
Everything stays on your device. We don't run servers, we don't collect your project data, and there's nothing to sync to the cloud. The AI features in the iPhone and iPad apps run on-device with Apple Intelligence, so nothing is sent to us or anyone else.
What standards do the calculators use?
Every check shows its full working and the clauses it draws on, so it can be independently reviewed and signed off. The calculators follow recognised structural design codes, including the Eurocodes with UK National Annex values.
Can my firm brand it?
Yes, on the desktop hub: add your practice's logo and accent colour, and it appears across the app and on every calc sheet you export.
