Get in touch
The fastest way to reach us is by email. Tell us which app you're using (the desktop hub, EDH Pocket, Seen on Site or CPD for Construction Engineers), what you were doing, your platform and the app version, and we’ll help.

Common questions
Do the apps work offline? Yes. Every tool works with no connection and no account. A connection is used only for the optional industry news feeds in EDH Pocket and CPD for Construction Engineers, iCloud sync between your own devices in EDH Pocket and Seen on Site, and the Apple Maps tiles on Seen on Site’s map screen. Purchases go through the App Store. EDH Pocket syncs through your own iCloud whenever you are signed in to iCloud. Seen on Site has no news feed, and its iCloud sync is off until you switch it on.
Is CPD for Construction Engineers really free? Yes, every feature, with no subscriptions, unlocks or ads.
Where is my data stored? Locally on your device. We don’t run servers or collect your project data. EDH Pocket also syncs its records through your own iCloud whenever you are signed in to iCloud, and keeps project files in your iCloud Drive when it is available, with a Settings option to move them onto the device. Seen on Site syncs records through your own iCloud only once you switch its sync on. We cannot read either. Keep your own backups of important files.
How do I manage my subscription? Trials and subscriptions are handled by the App Store, so manage or cancel them in your Apple App Store account. The Seen on Site lifetime purchase does not renew, so there is nothing to cancel.
Which standards do the calculators use? Recognised structural design codes, including the Eurocodes, with full working shown so every check can be reviewed and signed off by a competent person.
Can my firm add its branding? Yes, on the Engineers Digital Hub desktop app for Mac and in Seen on Site, in different ways. On the desktop app, add your logo and accent colour in the app’s settings and they appear across the app and on every calc sheet you export. In Seen on Site, add a business profile under Branding in Settings: its company name, footer text, professional registration and accent colour appear on your PDF reports, alongside the signatures you draw. Seen on Site does not put a logo on reports.
Seen on Site: Construction
Seen on Site is the new name for EDH Field. Existing records and printed QR labels remain supported.
How does the free period work, and what does Full Access cover? Seen on Site is free to download, and a new installation can be used in full for 14 days with nothing to buy first. After that, Full Access covers starting new work, which means creating a project or starting a site visit. Full Access is £2.99 a month or £19.99 a year, each with a 14-day free trial for eligible new subscribers, or £49.99 once as a lifetime purchase that does not renew. Records you have already made can always be opened, read, exported and shared, with or without Full Access. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac on the same Apple Account. These are UK prices, and the app shows the price for your country.
How do I restore a purchase? Use the Restore button on the Full Access screen (See Plans in Settings opens it), or open Settings and choose Restore Purchases under Full Access. Use the same Apple Account the purchase was made with. On iPhone and iPad, Settings is the cog in Library; on a Mac, open Settings from the app menu or press Command-comma.
How do I turn on iCloud sync, and what syncs? Sync is off until you switch it on. In Settings, under Sync, choose Records across your devices, then quit and reopen Seen on Site, because the change applies the next time the app opens. Do this on each device, signed in to the same iCloud account. Your records then travel through your own private iCloud database: projects, visits, observations, measurements, actions, risks, meetings and reports, with project contacts, business profiles, transcripts and the details recorded against photographs and documents. Files do not sync: photographs, voice recordings, sketches, drawn signatures, and imported drawings and documents stay on the device where they were made or imported. Nothing reaches us.
Where are my records kept, and how do I move a project? On the device, and the app works with no signal. Records are kept in the app’s database, and photographs, documents, sketches and audio as files in the app’s own storage. If you switch sync on, records are also kept in your own iCloud. To take a project elsewhere, open a report, choose Export, select ZIP Package and generate it. The package holds the report as PDF, Word and Markdown, CSV registers, the project’s original and annotated photographs, QR images, voice recordings with their transcripts, documents and drawings, and the project data as JSON, and you can save it or share it to another device. It is a handover pack rather than a backup, because Seen on Site cannot read one back in. To see your records on your other devices, use iCloud sync.
Can I save exports to OneDrive or another cloud service? Yes. Save or share exported reports and files to OneDrive or another cloud service set up on your device. Use the system share sheet or file picker to choose the destination. Cloud uploads need a connection. This is separate from optional iCloud record sync; it does not sync your app records through OneDrive or make exported ZIP packages importable.
How do I read a QR label? Point a phone camera at the label and open the link it offers. It opens a page on this website that reads the details carried in the code (reference, title, project, location, date, status, practice, contact and author) and shows them in your browser. Those details stay in the browser and are never sent to a server, and you do not need Seen on Site to read a label. In Seen on Site on iPhone and iPad, open the project’s QR tab and choose Scan a site QR: a record from that project opens with its previous photograph, observation and outstanding action, and a label from anywhere else shows what the label says. On a Mac, open the project’s QR tab, choose Scan a site QR, and type the reference printed under the code.
