Terms of Use

Last updated 22 June 2026

Draft for review. These terms are a starting point — please have them reviewed by your legal adviser and reconciled with the Apple App Store and Microsoft Store standard licence terms before launch.

These terms govern your use of the Engineers Digital Hub application (“the app”). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. The app is provided by ACDesign (“we”, “us”).

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on your devices in line with the terms of the store you downloaded it from. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app except as permitted by law.

Free trial & subscriptions

The app may be offered with a free trial followed by a paid subscription. Trials, billing, renewals and cancellations are managed by the Apple App Store or Microsoft Store under their terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your store account.

App store terms

You download the app through the Apple App Store or the Microsoft Store, and your use is also subject to that store's terms. Where you obtain the app from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these terms are between you and us (not Apple), that Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app, and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Where Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement applies, it supplements these terms and prevails to the extent of any conflict.

Professional use and your responsibility

The app is a tool to assist qualified engineers. Its calculators, analyses and references are aids to engineering judgement — they do not replace it. All outputs must be checked and verified by a competent person, and you remain professionally responsible for any design, calculation or decision you make using the app. You are responsible for confirming that any standard, method or assumption used is appropriate for your project and jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the app lawfully and not to use it in any way that could damage, disable or impair it, or interfere with another person’s use.

Intellectual property

The app, its content and branding are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. The work you create in the app belongs to you.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on the app’s outputs without independent professional verification. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The "as is" and liability provisions above apply only to the extent permitted by law.

Term and termination

These terms apply for as long as you use the app. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach them. You may stop using the app at any time and remove it from your devices; the sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law survive termination.

Eligibility

The app is intended for professional use by adults. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract to use it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will revise the date above when we do, and material changes will be reflected in the app or on this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
