Engineers Digital Hub (“Engineers Digital Hub”, “EDH”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Engineers Digital Hub apps: the Engineers Digital Hub desktop app for Mac, EDH Pocket for iPhone and iPad, and EDH CPD for iPhone and iPad (together “the apps”).

About Engineers Digital Hub

Engineers Digital Hub is a family of professional apps for structural and civil engineers and construction professionals. The apps bring engineering calculators, reference and knowledge bases, prompt assistance, drawing mark-up, sections and materials data, an IFC model viewer, CPD learning and logging, and project records together on your own devices. They are built to work offline, so your engineering work stays with you.

Information You Enter Into the Apps

The apps may allow you to enter and store information such as:

• calculation inputs, design checks, and their results
• project records, notes, to-dos, and registers
• contacts and project details
• drawings, mark-ups, photos, sketches, and files you import
• document content you create or convert within the apps
• CPD records, learning progress, quiz results, and certificates
• app settings, branding, and preferences
• other content you choose to add within the apps

This information is stored locally on your device.

How Your Data Is Stored

The Engineers Digital Hub apps do not store your project content, calculations, notes, drawings, documents, CPD records, or other user-created data on developer-owned servers.

Your data is stored locally on your device. The apps do not require you to create an account with us, and they do not transmit your project content to us or to any third party. Because they are designed to run offline, your engineering work is handled on your own device rather than on our servers.

On-Device AI Features

Some features in EDH Pocket and EDH CPD use Apple Intelligence, Apple's on-device machine learning. This processing happens entirely on your device. Your questions, documents, photos, and voice input are not sent to us, and we have no access to them.

Subscriptions

The Engineers Digital Hub desktop app and EDH Pocket offer optional paid subscriptions. EDH CPD is free and has no subscriptions or in-app purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store.

We do not receive your full payment card or banking details. We may have access only to limited information necessary to confirm subscription status and provide access to paid features.

How Information Is Used

Information handled by Engineers Digital Hub is used only to:

• provide the apps’ features
• save and display your entries, calculations, and other tracked information
• manage subscription access
• maintain app functionality and reliability
• respond to support enquiries if you contact us

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your entries or project information for advertising.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We do not share your calculations, project records, drawings, documents, CPD records, or other user-created content with advertisers or data brokers. Because the apps run on your own device, your project content is not transmitted to us.

Third-Party Services

The apps rely on platform services only where necessary to operate key functionality, including:

• the Apple App Store for subscriptions and payments
• publicly available industry news feeds, which the optional News features in EDH Pocket and EDH CPD fetch directly from your device; we do not operate or track these requests

The apps do not use third-party advertising networks or external cloud databases to store your engineering content.

Data Retention

Your information remains on your device unless you delete it. You can remove content within each app, and removing an app (subject to your operating system) removes its local data. We recommend keeping your own backups of important project files.

If you email us, we keep that correspondence only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and our records of it, and no longer than 24 months, after which it is deleted.

Security

We take reasonable steps to design Engineers Digital Hub in a way that respects and protects user privacy, including keeping your data on your own device.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for the security of the devices on which the apps and your project data are stored.

Your Choices

You can control your information by:

• choosing what information to enter into the apps
• deleting entries and files within the apps
• managing or cancelling subscriptions through your Apple App Store account settings
• removing an app and its local data from your device

Children’s Privacy

The Engineers Digital Hub apps are professional tools intended for adults and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Disclaimer

The Engineers Digital Hub apps are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no legal obligation or liability arising from, or in connection with, your use of the apps or anything produced with them.

The apps’ calculators, analyses, prompts, references, and other outputs are aids to engineering judgement, not a substitute for it. All calculations, prompt outputs, references, and other results must be independently checked and verified by a suitably qualified, competent person before they are relied upon or used in any design, construction, or decision. You remain professionally responsible for any work you produce using the apps, and for confirming that every standard, method, value, and assumption used is correct and appropriate for your project and jurisdiction.

Nothing in this notice excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will update the effective date shown above.
